Eisenhower-Matrix
The Eisenhower Matrix, also known as the Urgent-Important Matrix, is a time management tool that helps prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance. It divides tasks into four quadrants, enabling better decision-making and task management.

Start working on your time management with the Eisenhower Matrix (Pick) for the next 30 days. Reflect weekly and analyze results at the end of the month (Trick).
Did it work? Great, keep going (Stick)!
Not for you? No problem, try one of the other methods (Pick).
How to apply?
Step 1: List Your Tasks
Write down all the tasks you need to complete. This comprehensive list will be the foundation for sorting tasks into the matrix.

Step 2: Categorize Tasks by Urgency and Importance
Divide your tasks into four categories:
-
Urgent and Important (Do First): These tasks require immediate attention and have significant consequences if not completed promptly.
-
Important but Not Urgent (Schedule): These tasks are crucial for achieving long-term goals but do not require immediate action. They should be scheduled for a later time.
-
Urgent but Not Important (Delegate): These tasks require immediate attention but are not crucial to your long-term goals. If possible, delegate these tasks to others. Examples include interruptions, meetings, and minor requests.
-
Not Urgent and Not Important (Eliminate): These tasks are neither urgent nor important and do not contribute significantly to your goals. They should be minimized or eliminated.
Step 3: Use the matrix to prioritise
Place each task into the appropriate quadrant based on its urgency and importance.

Step 4: Take action!
-
Do First (Quadrant 1): Start with tasks in this quadrant.
-
Schedule (Quadrant 2): Plan these tasks into your calendar. Allocate specific times to work on them to ensure they get done.
-
Delegate (Quadrant 3): Identify tasks that can be delegated to others.
-
Eliminate (Quadrant 4): Remove or reduce these tasks from your schedule.

Step 5: Review and adjust
Regularly review your Eisenhower Matrix to update tasks and reprioritize as needed. This helps maintain a clear focus on what’s most important and urgent, ensuring effective time management.
